Small Business Support & Resource

The Miller Business Resource Center offers a wide range of services and support to entrepreneurs and small business owners. Support is provided through on-site internal resources such as the Salt Lake Region Small Business Development Center, the Miller Business Innovation Center, and the Women’s Business Institute as well as partners such as Utah Science Technology and Research Initiative and the Export Assistance Center, among others. The MBRC also has international business education training and assistance programs through the Global Business Center. Additionally, the MBRC has community and industry partnerships that also provide support and service to the Center.

The Global Business Center helps Utah companies that wish to focus on the global marketplace. The center  provides the courses leading to the Executive Certificate of Global Business Management for executives, professionals, employees, entrepreneurs and qualified students. You’ll learn to improve your strategies in global business practices. The Center also has other seminars, workshops and business briefings that address importing and exporting strategies, free trade agreements, and country specific market research.
Have you ever completed a sale and then discovered that there are major government hoops to jump through in-order-to export any product? You had to renegotiate the time of delivery. Avoid such surprises by taking the Global Business Center’s course “Shipping Your Products Overseas.” This online course addresses the logistics, procedures, and licensing required to ship your products overseas. It also give you resources to assist your efforts.
